About the event
This event is an opportunity for PhD students not only to meet each other and possibly to create a small community under the RESG umbrella, but also to present their ongoing research to (and get feedback and encouragement from) an audience of field experts from both academia and industry.
In order to attend, PhD students are required to submit by email a short abstract about their research (about 200 words in a word document, plus any supporting media, such as video, images, etc.) to Vito Veneziano (firstname.lastname@example.org). Abstract submission deadline is 15th May 2017.
Each abstract will be evaluated against not only its general relevance to the field of requirements engineering and the large interests of members of the Requirements Engineering Specialist Group, but also on its ability to clearly convey a short introduction to the topic, a description of the research work, the challenges it comes with, and the expected research outcomes. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 30th May 2017.
Students at all stages of their PhD are encouraged to apply.
Depending on the numbers of participants, we expect each presentation/talk to last for 10 to 15 minutes and be followed by 10 to 15 minutes of discussion.
All abstracts will be published on a dedicated page with the RESG website.
Abstracts should include (at least) the following information:
- student’s name, email address and webpage
- student’s university
- the name of the PhD supervisor(s)
- a provisional presentation title
- a short abstract of no more than 200 words describing the thesis topic
