From Requirements Engineering Specialist Group
Postgraduate Workshop 2010
23rd of April 2010, Imperial College London
After the success of last year's RESG PhD Workshop, it was an obvious choice to see if the event could be recreated and built upon. The premise of the workshop is to provide a platform for PhD researchers to present their work in a supportive, low pressure environment. As the invited presenters are all in the RE, or related field, the quality of understanding in the audience will be perfect to elicit interesting questions.
As the PhD students at the workshop were, relatively speaking, new to presenting, an additional feature was added to the workshop. Ben Jennings has a background in performance and public speaking and so led a talk and subsequent vibrant group discussion on differing techniques that can be applied to make presentations more engaging to the audience.
The event was kindly hosted by Imperial, with the gracious assistance of Dalal Alrajeh. Dalal was also supportive in the event as a whole. Many thanks to all of the participants in this year's workshop: (Each name is a link to the slides which were presented)
