This event is for computer science students who want to know more about the professional life of requirements engineers. The event will take the form of a panel. Invited panelists are: January Cervantes (Agile Business Analyst at British Sky Broadcasting), Javier Polimon (Business Analyst for OpenBet Technologies) and Manish Wadhwani (Development Director at QAWorks). They will talk about their experience and respond to questions from the audience.

Speakers’ Bios
January Cervantes is currently working as an Agile Business Analyst at British Sky Broadcasting Ltd. She is a technically and commercially astute Business/Systems Analyst with 10 years experience of successful IT systems/applications change management and implementation, plus iPhone application development. She has had a varied career across healthcare, insurance and telecoms industries. January has a diverse cultural background with fluency in Tagalog, English and German.
Javier Polimon graduated in Computer Science from University Carlos III in Madrid in 2006. After graduation, Javier has worked for several companies, including Oracle and Take-Two Interactive. He has been involved in the full lifecycle of several projects across very different industries, such as food and beverage, construction and videogame publishing. Currently, Javier works as a Business Analyst for OpenBet Technologies, where he is responsible for eliciting and analysing requirements from one of the UK’s biggest betting and gaming companies. Javier has completed the ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
Manish Wadhwani graduated from University of Westminster in 2007. He is a Development Director at QAWorks (Part of the NMQA Group) where he looks after the entire software development lifecycle of their test and defect management product QABook. He is involved in the requirements gathering, design and architecting, coding, testing (including test automation), deployments, support and training activities. Core application development includes Windows workstation and server based applications, Windows service, SharePoint as well as standalone ASP.NET web applications using various technologies including C#, .NET and SQL Server. More recently Manish has been involved in designing and architecting the cloud solution on Microsoft Windows Azure platform to enable Software as a Service.
